On Sunday, March 9th, Indianapolis Animal Care and Control (IACC) and the Humane Society of Indianapolis (HSI) signed a Memorandum Of Understanding that stemmed from HSI's earlier announcement that they would no longer accept stray animals, and only accept owner surrendered animals under certain conditions, and only after being counseled by HSI. |

Nice day for spay/neuter! |

Our CareDay for March followed a day of snow, heavy in places. But despite the snowfall, the sun came out and it was a great day for spay/Neuter! We admitted 71 cats to our clinic! For our two very talented volunteer vets, this was barely a workout. But for people bringing cats from as far away as Bargersville, Rensselar and Muncie area, it was a bit more work, but well worth the effort. Several gorgeous, friendly barn cats were placed with an Indy-area adoption group and are well on their way toward living the good life in new indoor homes. The FBI strongly believes that whenever possible, friendly free-roaming cats should be gotten "off the streets" and placed into indoor homes. Many thanks to our great volunteers who keep things running smoothly, keep everyone well fed and make it a smooth, safe and FUN experience! |
